A vibrant community includes a variety of restaurants, retailers, office and commercial uses, and, if the market allows, light industrial employers. Building architecture, inspired by small town character, will be the back drop for pedestrian-oriented gathering places. Special emphasis will be placed with an eye on sustainability and careful stewardship of the environment.

Throughout our plans, great care was taken to make commercial spaces attractive to potential small businesses. Small businesses are the foundation of the nation’s economy and the American dream. These are what many people envision as the Mom-and-Pop businesses along a Main Street or in a small downtown.

The new shops, restaurants, services, businesses and light industry will create jobs for residents of Black Diamond, as well as assuring a strong economic base for future generations of Black Diamond children as they come of age and form families of their own.
